I guess that I am basically a nice, slightly kooky guy. Looking for a nice, slightly kooky girl who will periodically vex, annoy, and infuriate me. Yeah... one of them would be nice. :) ...and fair's fair... I am likely to vex, annoy and infuriate her occasionally, too. :) I guess this is where I am supposed to try and sound all suave and sophisticated. Erm... I really just can't take myself seriously enough to even try!!! :)<br><br>I work at the University of South Australia as a researcher. Basically I study water policy and water law. And yes... I am afraid that I DO occasionally start babbling about work. Sigh... I put so many people to sleep that way! You'd think I'd have learned by now. :)<br><br>So... that's my job... but what I do for a living isn't really what my world revolves around. I guess my main focus in life is communication. I love it. Revel in it. All forms of communication and expression. Bring it on! Reading, writing, talking, visual arts... whatever. I like finding out what other people think and feel.<br><br>As for spare time... well... I quite like pretending that I am into carpentry. What I really seem to be into is taking perfectly harmless pieces of wood and making large mounds of sawdust. I so suck at woodwork. :)<br><br>I read a lot... I write a lot. I like going for long walks, cooking, meeting up for coffee with friends. All very typical sorta stuff. Adam is looking for... Hmm... kinda tricky.<br><br>I've never fallen in love. I love easily and readily. But the dizzy delirious madness that I've seen in others... no, not so much.<br><br>My friendships tend to last... most of 'my crowd' have been together for 15 - 20 years or so. As such... we know each other fairly well!<br><br>But amour?<br><br>Bright. Quixotic. Willing to communicate. Able to be silly and spontaneous when there's laughter in the offing... and serious and focused when needs be.<br><br>I like people who have a strong sense of themselves... their own style. Their own individuality.<br><br>I like people who can keep me on my toes. I am fairly articulate... and I can be very expansive and expressive... not being daunted or confronted by such is a must.<br><br>I dunno that I will find 'Miss Right'... Perhaps I will luck out and just meet someone who I enjoy and come to call a close friend.<br><br>A couple of the women I've met...well... they haven't been searching for Mr Right... rather they've been willing to settle for Mr. Anything-with-a-pulse. :)<br><br>It's not in me to 'settle'... and I really don't want to have someone 'settle' for me.<br><br>Loneliness sucks... but I'd prefer that than have someone I care about wishing they'd had a better luck of the draw! :)<br><br>So... by all means, write. Let's chat... but expect Mr. Likely-to-ramble-and-carry-on-like-a-silly-Galah rather than Mr. Right... or even Mr. Anything-with-a-pulse.<br><br>Be well...
